    Remember....

Just wanted to point out that a new year is another year of LIFE and, in most cases, life that's complete in that we have all our basic needs met. Not everyone does. The rest is just gravy!

Although I would have said this anyway, this hits close to home for me. My wife blood counts went down severely after chemo a few years ago and you'd be amazed at how low RBC, hematocrit and others that carry oxygen to your body, particularly your brain, will impact your quality of life. It impacts not only your physical functioning but your mental as well. Anyway, thanks to the miracle of modern medicine, she's been getting shots (procrit) that have returned her levels to normal and she's SOOOOO much better in many ways.

A couple of years ago, my daughter (29) had a blood clot, got fired, dumped by her boyfriend and mugged at gun point all within a matter of weeks. That led to some other problems with alcohol. She's now in a great relationship, not drinking and happier than she's been in years!

Sorry for all the personal stories but my point is MAKE THE MOST OF EVERYDAY! They are precious and we never know many we'll get.

Thanks for the reminders, Brad. Every new year that starts with good health is already a great year.

    Remember....

    Brad,
While we remember the troubles in our lives, and we all have them, we temper those memories with thoughts of good times. Happy New Year, buddy.
