    Planks for Newbie

    Hello, this is my first post. I'll be starting Phase 1 of NRFL Abs soon, and have a question about planks. I'm absolutely new to working out/lifting weights, and cannot do a 60 second plank, nor a 30 second side plank yet, so the basic plank and side plank are where I am starting. I notice that in Workout B, we are asked to do elevated planks and side planks instead, which would probably be nearly impossible for me. Should I just start with basic planks for Workout B as well?

    You'll be surprised how quickly you will progress with planks, but, yes, until you can master the regular plank, stick with it.

    Thank you so much for the quick reply! I do hope you are right about the planks. As of this point, I really dislike doing them- so hard!
