But it sounds better than Dancing with Dumbbells despite the alliteration.Originally Posted by "Lost Dog":16nny4ng
How about dancing with a treadmill?Originally Posted by "Lost Dog":2edalebh
Wow! This girl makes the treadmill look fun. I wish I had her talent. I actually think it's pretty cool.Originally Posted by "Bytsi":1xdh8j7a
Despite not feeling it, I decided to grab two kettlebells and knock it out in the living room watching Robin Hood. I love Robin Hood, pretty much any version, and I even had a huge crush on that little fox of a Maid Marion in the Disney version.
KB Press, 24kgs, 2-3-5-7-Max (15) Ladder. - 15 reps on the right is a HUGE rep PR for me. My previous max was either 11 or 12. I only managed 13 reps on the left, though. Still a PR for each side.
back to training...
I'm going to retroactively call this a deload or backoff week or something. I'm dragging.
KB Press ladder (above)
Chinup Ladder, 2-3-5-7-Max (9)
Split Squats, two 24kgs, 8 - each leg
I feel beat up.
I need to do some KB Sport stuff tomorrow or Saturday, but I'll keep that light, too. I'll do the reps, but that's all I can promise.
My wife is home on Sunday, so it's this weekend or nothing for housecleaning. Yes, this Sunday, the toilet seat goes down again.
Well that's what I call "multi-tasking". They're just isn't enough time to keep up with all the good TV shows out there, and do some of those things that we should be doing.Originally Posted by "Lost Dog":2mklqy0r
I'm feeling more energetic today, and I haven't even eaten yet.

Trained at the gym. Galya likes to actually go to the gym a couple of times per week, so I will incorporate some gym equipment into my routines for a while.

Roland - I have a first post in the general health section on diabetes, normal BGs and A1Cs. Also Jenny Ruhl on facebook has a pod cast (or whatever) on getting BGs under control. I was not able to get a 'clean' link, or figure out how long it was. In a couple days I will summarize some of her and other material as to what are damaging levels of BGs, which people may find useful.
I think I listened to it a few months ago. Was it on Livin' La Vida Low Carb?Originally Posted by "RobLL":2sh81gyr
Does broth count as water? It's been so cold here that I can't fathom drinking cold drinks so I've been sipping chicken broth. Just wondering.
Yep. If your goal is to drink more fluids/water, then it counts. If your goal is to lose weight and avoid drinks with calories, then it's not the same as water.

Roland - that is it. It was, per her facebook, voted one of the best of the year, and she will be doing one more later this month.
Bought a KB with some Christmas money my father sent me today. Granted, it's 15# - the 26# was a bit too heavy. It was a toss-up between the KB and a small barbell set. Guess who won? LOL.
I plan to start training with them again once New Rules is over. Just thought I'd let you know since the fact that you train with KB's kind of influenced my decision.
I'm happy that you bought one! You can certainly do a few things with a 15lb kb, but I think you underestimate yourself. Be ready to use your next gift card on one that will be heavy enough to build some glutes (like that 26 pounder).Originally Posted by "Stronger":1ea760uz
I've been uber tired lately, so took a few days off. I did "train" last night, but it was just go keep things moving and not backslide.
DB Bench, two 75s, 6/6/5
Freemotion Woodchops, 70x10, 90x10, 90x10
That's about it.
I tried a few swings with the 26# in the store aisle, I could only do a few before my arms started shaking.Originally Posted by "Lost Dog":n0mtt4k1
FWIW, I think you overestimate my strength. Have you seen my log? I just moved up to the 15# dumbbell. I figure it's better to have better form at a slightly lighter weight than bad form with a heavier weight, ego be damned.
