Nicely done! Your first huge platform and you got to write about soft-core porn!
How did this come about? (the gig, not the porn)

CONGRATS!!!!! Way to goooo! Huge hugs!!
*clapping from Houston* way to go Nick!
Congrats, Nick! That is a big-time gig!
should be a once a day thing for the near future and maybe more after that, who knows. and I'm getting paid. haven't gotten paid to write in a year.
on a fitness note, did the movement prep and the prehab from the preliminary workout of core performance today and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes because it's my rest week and I wanted to listen to my ipod.
weighed in at 221. no fucking clue where that weight came from. given that I was a fairly lean 188 two summers ago--and that's where I want to be again bf% wise--there's no way in bloody hell that I've got 33 lbs to lose. none. I don't even know if I've got 20 to lose. I guess this means that I actually have gained some muscle.

and to answer Michael's question, it came out of nowhere. I didn't apply for anything or even knew that they were looking for writers. got an email last week and went "oh wow..."
today I did the movement prep, prehab and physioball routine from the intermediate prep phase.
same as yesterday minus the physioball work
I'll probably show up to the gym tomorrow to dick around and do some movement prep or something
there was a 20something girl today--who I've seen before--who came into the weight room to lift after she got off the treadmill. ok, whatever, she usually does ab work or something. not this time. she puts five or ten pounders on each end of the smith machine.
then she fiddles with the height. ok, whatever. I'm doing my stuff in the area in front of the smith--the weight room is tiny--so I move out of the way because I don't want to be collateral damage because it's obvious she's up to something.
she goes and gets the aerobic step and then the platforms that you use to make it higher. um... ok, this is getting good. gets up on the step and attempts to RDL. nope, too short, need more platforms. gets more platforms, decides that she's at the right height and continues, all while I'm mesmerized at her dumbassery.
then without changing the weights or the height of the step, gets off the step, and then gets back on to do a bastardized bent over row.
I would love to hear her rationale for this. probably in this month's issue of Woman's World or something.
I dunno where she got that, but it sounds very creative. I always give extra points for creativity in the gymOriginally Posted by "ninja":23vl3ieu
Since you're asking questions anyway - can you explain the bros who come in and spot each other's bench press - in the Smith machine!?!? Isn't the Smith built to be self-spotting?

that is well done (and I should do this to other people)
Monday February 8
First day of core performance
T, W, L
all @ 1x8
PB reach roll and lift
Weighted Glute Bridge
1x8 @ 185
Side Lying Ad/Abduction
12 min on resistance 10 = 3.6 miles
had to use the bike instead of the treadmill because all the treadmills were taken (go away already, new year's resolutioners) but I didn't mind it as much as I thought I would.
still gotta foam roll. I'll be watching basketball for three more hours, so I've got plenty of time
and I left cp at the gym for the second time in less than a year on Friday. figured it was gone again, but thankfully one of the trainers saw it and started reading it. so... she learned about core performance and I got my book back. win win
Holy shit on the new job Nick!!! Congratufuckinglations man!
hey, technically it's two new jobsOriginally Posted by "kfisherx":14rtlzdx
