    My beginner kettlebell program

    Hi all,

Based on some feedback from Dave T on a different thread, Ive come up with the following kettlebell workout template. I should note that I am a relative beginner with the 'bells and this is a lunch-break workout so I need to keep it short (20-30mins).

    Here goes..

    template:

    5 min warmup
5 min get-ups (maybe alternate with windmills or press on light day)
    10 min swings
    5 min core/cool down

    details:
-swings at 1 min intervals with active rest (jog in place, jacks, shadow box, etc)
    -vary weight M - med, W - light, F - heavy
-vary reps according to weight (x20, x10, x5)
-one hand swings on light days to keep it interesting

    thoughts??

One variation on swings I recently learned is the skier swing. Basically the bells go where your poles would be.

Snatches are a very good exercise with bells; similar to one-armed swing; you could also do clean and shoulder press (though they take some getting used to)

Nice program and keeping it short is good too. I would possibly add snatches to give an extra dimension but apart from that your program looks good.
